Preventive Care

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Keeping smiles healthy starts with prevention. These are the everyday services that help your family avoid bigger problems down the road.

Professional Exam & Cleaning

Preventing oral disease is the best way to maintain optimal oral health and avoid restorative procedures. Good daily hygiene plus a professional exam and cleaning at least twice a year helps you avoid most dental problems. Parents are welcome to accompany their child during visits.

Early Dental Care

We begin seeing children when the first tooth comes in or by age one, as recommended by the ADA and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. These early visits prevent cavities before they start and give your child a chance to get comfortable with us — building trust for a lifetime of healthy habits.

Diet Counseling

When and how often you eat certain foods affects the health of your teeth and gums. We educate patients on how nutrition affects oral health, review proper oral-care techniques, and recommend the right hygiene aids for your family.

Fluoride

Our office offers professional-strength fluoride applications to help you avoid tooth decay. Fluoride reduces mineral loss from enamel, strengthens weak areas, and counters the effects of acidic foods and drinks that break enamel down.

Fluoride Varnish

Great for high-cavity-risk patients, sensitive teeth, or gum recession. Painted on and set in seconds, it delivers a high, immediate dose of fluoride. Applied 2–4 times a year, varnish has been reported to reduce cavities by as much as 25% in high-risk individuals.

Sealants

A protective coating placed into the deep pits and grooves on top of teeth where cavities form. Sealants keep food out and create a smooth, easy-to-clean surface. The ADA and AAPD both recommend sealants on children's and adolescents' molars to reduce cavity risk.
